Álvaro Fiúza was born in 1982 in Pontevedra. He is a canoeist and has been proclaimed three times world champion in the marathon modality.
He began his career in this sport at just 11 years old And with 27, after much effort and training, he obtained the double of the European and World Marathon, along with Emilio Merchán, in the ranks of the ADZ team.
In 2010, he crossed with his last sports bet to date, at the Club Oviedo Kayak. Driven by the charismatic club president, Pepe Rubiera, and with the aim of being able to take the title of Descenso del Sella winners by partnering with Walter Bouzán, they managed to achieve more than just a Sella: winners in four editions of Descenso del Sella, two gold and two silver medals in World Canoeing and one victory in the World Cup, to which must be added other tests of the highest national and international level.
En The Indian Face we are more than proud to sponsor a champion like Álvaro Fiuzá.
